Bonus eligibilty per country

Postby Meep » Tue Oct 05, 2010 8:52 pm

Hi, I live in Germany and am a relative newcomer to this game. I have been methodically signing up with the various bookies but I've encountered a problem:

quite a few of them will only offer SUBs to UK residents only. Thus I've not had anything off Stan James, Ladbrokes and Jaxx, for example.

Have any of you in the UK been denied an SUB owing to your residency?
Any ideas how I can get round this (without having to move country!)?

Hi Meep, welcome to FEM :D
Yes this can be a problem for some countries but think yourself lucky you don't live in the USA as all online gambling is officially off limits to them.
Some bookies here are UK only as you've already identified but I don't think anyone excludes Germany specifically (always best to check the terms beforehand). Some bookies do exclude the UK as well :(
I don't know how you could get around this as debit cards have to be registered to your address. Moneybookers may be an option of funding your account in these cases but you are always going to struggle if anyone requests ID with an address included in your documentation.

I can't think of anyway around this either, but there have been a lot of books recently who have excluded UK that you should still be able to play at. Off the top of my head

Expekt
Interwetten
MyBet
Tipico
Cashpoint

Also try looking at Italian sites. I'm pretty sure Ladbrokes and Stan James have .it sites and they should be open to residents Europe wide (Probably except UK).
