Hi all,
I have just done a £20 deposit bet but am left a little confused at the outcome so any help would be great!
Heres what i did:
I deposited £25 (by accident!) and made my qualifying bet on a nice horse arb of backing 4.5 for £25 and laying 3.75 for 25.86.
I then used the free bet (SNR) and placed a £20 back bet at 5.5 and layed off at 3.67 for 28.35.
I actually though it was a SR but was wrong and realised after, hence the overlay on the free bet!
The horse won, so from the above theoretically i should be down by about £15 because of the cock up on the free bet that cost me about £18. Including the free £20 my overall profit should be +£5.
My accounts are confusing me though:
My Betfair balance (pre-bet) was £340 and post bet was £193. A loss of £147
The bookie account in question though now has a total balance of 220.
Take out my deposit of £25 and thats a profit of £48.......SOMEHOW!?
Have I somehow managed to make a profit from this cock up!?
