Arbing

Postby arshavin » Sun Jun 06, 2010 1:22 am

I've been reading up alot on the subject and i think i know alot of things like, bankroll requirements, level of growth, how it works, risks involved and ways of finding arbs.

My question is obviously aimed at the arbers. Do any of you guys use any software to locate the arbs? a SMS service? find yourselves? Some of these services cost a bomb and would be hard to clear much profit if we start with a small bankroll.

Also i;m wondering how many arbs do you guys put on per day on average? I have no idea whether its like one a day or lots of oppurtunities.

If you arb UK books then sooner or later you will get your account limited. Also there are limits to the size bet you can place limiting the profit to be made. For these reasons I don't use a subscription service.

I look for multiple opportunities on the same market so not tying up all my float. I often back 3 or 4 scorelines in a game or horses in a race. Sometimes you don't need a big arb if you hit a winner. 3 winning lays of £105 each with a losing lay is £15 profit as you pay no commission.

I also underlay everything. It's frustrating when you don't hit a winner for a while but when you do there's £15+ profit instead of £1-2 per bet. Couple the £15 profit with the £15 from paying no commission and the arb is as good as a free bet

Brilliant info sharpe thank you.

To be hitting £15+ profit at times what type of liability does that involve on average? I will look into what you said about bettin on 3 or 4 scores on the same game because thats one side of arbing i didnt know about. That maybe better than placing 3 bets on different outcomes for 1% profit.

I consider Arb'ing to be just one of my 'portfolio' which includes MB'ing, bonus blagging and Trading. A free arb finding tool can be currently found here : www.cash-matters.com/ARBITRAGE/BESTODDSMATCHER.aspx

God arb on at 118bet.com and betfair.

Man U vs Rangers tonight

Back @ 6.1 and lay @ 3.95

I get it when it was 6.7. First back for my first go. I put 50 onto see i can get the free espn offer with the HDD Freeview box and if i lose at betfair i'll get a free 25 bet, so its win, win,and a free HDD Tv recorder ;) I also underlayed at the exchange. I bet 60 there, i no its abit of a gamble and that i should'nt be trying to get tricky but i could'nt help myself.

I'm sure you've made an error their Jayboat and we need to correct it before kick off or both you back and lay could lose.

Log into your 188bet account and got to history. You will be able to see the bet you placed and post the details here so someone can go over it for you. It looks like you have backed one market and layed a different one from those odds.

Currently the odds at 188bet are 5.55/5.8 (Rangers) 3.7/4.1 (Draw) and 1.72/1.73 (M Utd)

188Bet aren't the easiest bet to tackle for a newbie, but don't panic. If you tell us what you've done we should be able to get you out with as little damage as possible
