I just tried Stan James and skybet and connected straight away then tried betfair and got connection timed out as I have for the last 24 hours.

I've been on betfair all morning, no problems.

Regarding your scenario, I wouldn't place 5 bets on 1 betslip and then try and lay them, I would do them one at a time so there's less to go wrong.

Also before you start you should have betfair and the bookie open so unless your connection went down at the precise moment you wanted to lay you bets it wouldn't be an issue, but point taken there is some risk

Hi Steve
thanks for the reply.
I can't access betfair at all from my PC which is a bit worrying!!!
I've worked as a computer installation engineer and build all my own computers so I know a bit about them. Gonna check a few things my end but just wanted to point out that this could be a risky scenario and maybe treading carefully should be the approach.

Have you tried calling them? Betfair call centre staff are normally pretty good and knowledable

Betfair is not down, i would clear your internet cache first bull, then restart your pc/laptop and try again.

How about clearing the internet cache? A corrupt cookie will stop you getting to the site. Do you know how to clear it? If not, what browser are you using?

I'll second that. Just logged on and can make bets. Problem at your end mate. Hope you get it sorted. :)

As I said - I know a fair bit about computers - I've cleared the cache and deleted all cookies - I've even tried from another computer in the house which has never accessed betfair. I've turned off all firewalls and done a complete reboot of the system router PC etc. and still can't load the betfair website. All other sites work perfectly so am running out of options. I've tried going through links on other websites and still get the timeout error. I've not changed any settings on the system and aint had a problem till now.
Any suggestions welcome.
Oh and It's the same if I ise IE or Firefox browser.
