Newbie Wannabee

Postby Trigger_66 » Sun Oct 16, 2011 10:37 am

Just thought I wou say helo. I have been reading through the site for a couple of weeks. Sharpeshhoters Blog is a good read. I must say.

I have read the tutorial again and again. I have grasped the basic MB and arb.concept i think. I am planning to open a co operative account as suggested. Start with Paddy P and then slowly build up at a MB or so a week. I have a good credit rating so should get the coop acc no probs. I could use a Credit Card but obviously this eats your profits.

Ive told the Mrs what i am upto but shes suitablly sceptical seeing as she works in a Casino...

When i am off and running I will Post again.

Cheers,

Trigger

That's what other halfs are for. They soon come around when they see the cash rolling in though and then they like to "share" in your success
Welcome on board :D slow and steady is definitely the way to start out but I have a feeling you won't be limiting yourself to one a week for long ;)

welcome!

I was sceptical myself when I first started. When I did finally take the plunge and made about £7 profit I was still scratching my head thinkin, this can't be right or legal  Well I'm happy to say it is right and it is legal so all good.

Most of my family still believe there's some catch or trick that I'm not telling them and I've been doin it over 2 years and have profit and a spreadsheet to prove it. I don't worry about it anymore. I make them laugh cos I claim not to be a gambler, yet I've got about 50 bookie accounts ;)

Well, Still waiting on my new Co Op bank account. Theyve sent the welcome pack, etc. But now want me to transfer all my direct debits and stuff to them. Thus making it my main account...I dont want to do this.
And it never mentioned it when i applied online.

I just want the account for all my online stuff only. I am going to ring them 2moro.

Anyone else had this problem?

Anyone find it more conveinient to just use a credit card for their online activities and just swallow the 3% charge.??

Thanks in Advance.

Trigger.

Never used a credit card myself. Always used my everyday debit card and never had a problem with my bank. You could try the same until your dedicated card arrives?

Evening All...

Never even knew about the £200 SS....To be honest ,not really bothered about that. Sounds like easy money. But, I envisage a load of hassle swopping my salary and direct debits, etc, etc. A

I was more looking for an account to operate in parallel with my normal account. Just to minimise any potential fraud as i will; be giving my account details to so many online bookies.....

Also i will be able to track my transactions easier. I will probablly set up a Moneybookers account as well. But i am happy doing a couple of bets a week and taking my time.

Well the Co Op cheque book arrived today. So presume the speedy bank card will follow.

I cant see them making it a stipulation that i swap all my direct debits to open an account. But we will see.

Swapping only 2 for the 200 would be ok but you also have to pay £800 a month in i believe.

Think i will just stick to the MB's LOL...

Nothing stopping you having a standing order from your main account into this one-leaving it for a day and then swapping it back again- all on a day to suit you so you don't even miss it ;)
I've done this with the Halifax for me and the mrs. Think I'll take a look at the co op too! Free easy money is free easy money after all
