Sporting Bet

Postby SharpeShooter » Thu Oct 15, 2009 5:11 pm

Picked this up elsewhere and thought I should share.

Sporting bet $50 deposit bonus BJ allowed.

Deposited £33 ($54) and wagered through once at BJ flat betting $1 per hand. After completing WR logged out of casino and money is automatically sent back to sportsbook. Log back in to casino and $50 bonus in account with 25 x WR. I had read that the winnings were withdrawable so I went for the double up and won, went to withdraw to find I had been mis-informed. Back to BJ and double up again, which I won (remember this is bonus money not my money) so Now I've $200 and a $1100 WR.

Grind out at $1 per hand on multihand to finish with $222 (£136.88) profit

Cheers, i thought thats what he meant.
Thats where my problems would start, unlike Steve who seems to be the luckiest person in the world.

I know where you're coming from there m8.
I usually grind out a result rather than double up, if I doubled it would just lose every time - I'm not lucky.

It's not that i win every time, I simply don't post when I lose

If you double up a bonus as near as dammit you should win 1/2 the time.

Imagine you have 2 casino's each offering £50 deposit bonus with 30 x WR so you have £100 in each casino and £3,000 WR at each casino so £6,000 in total.

First bet double up. If you win one lose one you still have the same £200 but now it's all in one casino and the WR is only £2,900 as you've already wagered £100.

If you only ever do 2 x casino bonuses in your life this would be risky but if you do a lot then over time the law of averages kicks in and you will win as many as you lose.

Also remember I was only doubling a bonus, not my own money

I'd lose em both Steve - I'd rather grind em out and the variance should even out over both, in theory.

Steve, how do you find all the offers ? do you log into all the bookies to see what they have, or do you have a secret link to them all? ;)

When you guys are grinding them out for a quid a go, do you play more than one hand at a time ?

If I've a lot of sports to do I don't tend to do the riskier casino's but at the minute the sports is slow so I've been "catching up" on casino's.

Every time I do a sportsbook I look at the other offers that book has and if it looks good I'll make a note of it to come back.

When grinding out it really depends on my mood and patience level. If I want to get it over and done with I'll play multi-hand, sometimes up to 5 hands at once. Theoretically this is slightly less variance but it hurts when you lose all 5 at once.

If it's a large WR (Which I don't often do) I'll mix it up with single hands for £3 - £5 stakes and multi hands. I do hate doubling with £5 down though

If I am playing a multi hand table (most of them are) I would never play more than one hand as it increases the house edge quite considerably.
