Going so well

Postby Alan » Fri Nov 06, 2009 3:11 pm

Well i was on the verge on having my best day yet for big bonuses but as usual my big bonus jinx came back to haunt me

I deposited in bet365 to do their £200 bonus via mastercard so i knew i would have to bust the £400 out completely.
Everything was going like a dream. Yesterday i busted out £200 with a £19.46 profit :D and today i decided to bust the remaining £200 out, which i did on 3 horses all arbing and making another profit of £8.12 in the process :D
BUT it all went t**s up as usual on these big bonuses. First two bloody horses win giving me a £1400 bust out
I wouldnt mind but i had £100 at 13 on a horse that hadnt ran in over a year :?
Im beond caring if my last horse wins now coz ive got a massive job to do whatever happens

Been there, done that with bet365.

Spent most of December completing their WR.

Good luck m8.

I managed to turn over £800 ish on x2 footy games by backing the red hot favourites for a loss on each but at least it's behind me now.

At least their odds are decent.
If I'd managed to bust the deposit with profit like you did I'd have split the free bet down to manageable chunks of £50 bets to avoid this scenario.
Then if 1 comes in it becomes less of a chore to do the WR.
Mind you - with your luck all 4 would come in.

When you and I did Bet365 there was no wr - it used to be a bet basket bonus. They changed it to a deposit bonus.

I've bet on enough horses now to know that any nag at decently high odds ie about 10 to 13, where the stake and lay odds are within the width of a gnat's scrotum to each other two hours before the race, should be left well alone if you need to bust out at the bookmaker.

I did Paddy's again a few days ago. My £20 free bet won on a nag at 8.0. I had a bad feeling about it all day until the race, and just knew it was going to come home. Didn't need to bust out, but it did do some damage to my balance at Betdaq.

I know nothing about horses. But you'd be surprised at how many high odds winners I've picked since I've been doing MBing.

 Tell me about it!!
I was doing the totesport bet basket, and was on my last QB i backed a horse at 15.0 ( i knew it was a bad omen, when abrieviated it read "last of the tits" it was Titans  ) it was close to an arb at betfair, but suddenly started drifting like a barge, so i overlayed, thinking "its no chance) I followed the race, watching the betfair prices, and they were drifting, so i started to put my coat on , for the pub. when it started dropping, and won!! i ended up losing £50 I was still £37 up on the basket but it should have been £87. It was sunday afternoon, and my wife kept asking me "your'e quiet, whats up with you."
This posts a bit like ronnie corbet in that big chair!!

I'm planning on placing my biggest bet tomorrow (£150) and you've got me cacking myself...hehe. Fortunately it's not part of a WR

Its always the big bonuses with me i swear its uncanny :?
Just found out that the horse that won at 13 with £100 on hadnt ran in nearly 3 years, i mean come on 3 p*****g years

I think im going to do what you suggest bull and stick with £50 maximum bets from now on, i give up

Had a good laugh at some of these stories  It's like we're all sharing the same experiences, but at different times :D
Completing WR at good books like 365 who have decent odds is no bad thing when there are arbs to be had. When we've all got decent balances, arbing at such books can bring in a decent regular "income" as can trading - just ask hughsie ;)
