Week 22

I have had a strange week. It started off really badly with Betway cancelling a bet and costing me £177.50, as documented elsewhere on the Forum. Towards the end of the week I did the Paddy Power racing BOGOF on Saturday and picked a winner which was then disqualified. As Paddy pay first past the post, both my back and lay won giving me an extra £70 profit. Earlier that day I did the William Hill games bonus. I wagered £100 at JOB Video poker for a small gain and played the £20 bonus on slots at £1 per spin. Whilst playing a message flashed up "someone else has won the minor Jackpot" just as I was thinking "Lucky B*****d" I realised it was me  for a £94 win. All in all I'm more than happy with my return

New Games Tab. Wager £100 for £20 bonus.

Pick a low risk game, I chose video poker. Once you've wagered £100 the £20 is added as bonus funds. When wagering this all winnings are added to your cash balance. I chose a high risk game and it payed off

Week 23. My First Ever Cheltenham

I've been saving some sign ups for the festival hoping for some better offers and some of them were excellent, Thank you Ladbrokes ;) I booked 3 days off work and did as much as I could. To be honest I did too much and left myself exhausted so at the weekend I made some basic errors and cost myself a lot of money. On the whole I'm obviously delighted with the week but it should have been £400 more.

The week started great with the Paddy refund offer on the first race. I picked the winner and it was best odds with £250 stake so that got me off to a £500 start. I made £2K in two days and had most of the offers done. On Friday Victor Chandler had a Refund on Yankees offer and seeing as I'd had a good week I thought I'd have a punt. If only one horse won you got your stake back, so I picked my four horses and placed my bet of £110. After 3 races no winners so I figured my banker will save me and I'll get my money back. I think we all know what happened to Kauto Star :o

I signed up to Paddy for a £250 bet basket. Needing to place 10 x £100 bets. I was struggling for good odds when I found a HUGE arb on the place market in a race. I backed £100 @ 2.5 and underlaid £104.82 @ 2.08. If my horse placed I make £36 profit. The horse duly finished 3rd and I'm smiling until Paddy settles the bet as a loser. It appears Betfair has a different policy to other bookies when it comes to non runners on the place market so I lost my lay and back as BF paid 3 places and Paddy only 2. Very expensive lesson learnt

Ouch :( . Valuable learning point here though Shooter for us all - particularly anyone looking to make a career out of this (which, as you have shown is eminently possible) always check the t and c's and that includes the rule differences for the gee gees, injury retirements for tennis (come the summer) and I think F1 have some new rules attached which could be different between books and BF.

Simple solution is stick to the footie, although straight place bets on the nags are always easy ways to cash out on your free bet.

By the way. Legendary thread. Informative, insightful and aspirational. Hats off to you sir ;)

Well done! I was looking forward to this post cheltenham update, I was expecting you to come in at about £2000. Nearly 3 grand in a week is awesome, I don't think I could do what you do but it definately makes us all realise the possibilities.
Unfortunately I didnt get time to do much this cheltenham, I'll be having a good look at it next year though!

Please keep up this thread, you are an excellent source of inspiration and ideas. Just when I think that free betting has to come to an end at some point, you make me question where that end is?

"2 x Paddy Power Refund Offer (Best Odds) £502.51"

Dunguib lost and there was no refund. How could you possibly have gotten over £500 out of this?!

Jethro is right, I have posted it elsewhere.

Backed a horse at 11 which won and had an SP of 13. I had £200 on it for the refund offer so effectively with Best Odds £200 @ 2/1 extra profit. I also had £50 on it on another account as part of my SUB.

The other horse I picked for the refund offer didn't win so I picked up my lay on that with no commission as I was £2,200 down on the winner and I collected both my Lays on Dunguib with no commission too,

Therefore I would have made £102.51 from the offer and the BOG gave me £400 extra + an Extra £100 on The SUB on the new account
