More importantly how does he stop his accounts from being gubbed on this offer like everybody else seems to?

I've had several accounts gubbed at Stan James, but I have 2 new ones that aren't.

Place a £10 or more bet at odds over 2, answer the question each week for your free chip.

I've started playing all or nothing roulette. 10 numbers 50p on each. A win = £13, withdraw winnings and repeat. 2 losses = bust

Hey all

After much soul searching I have decided week 40 will be the last update on the blog. Initially the point was to see how quickly I could make 10k with a 10k float. That happened a lot quicker than I expected so I continued. Now I seem to be regurgitating the same info as I go about doing the offers over and over again and I'm not really posting anything new.

I have decided to stop the blog because I feel it's going to turn into "look how much I've made" which was never the intention. I hope that the last 40 weeks have provided some of you with some inspiration and kept you motivated. I'm going to concentrate from now on with answering specific questions when they come up and hopefully posting new information for people as I find it.

On a personal note I haven't been made redundant, my colleague and MB'ing buddy was selected instead. This has increased my workload giving me less time to MB at work. I now manage about 5 - 10 hours in my spare time. This week I finally got my Dad to set up a bank account, until now I had just been using Paypal, which limits you to about 6 or 7 bookies.

In the next week or 2 I'm gonna make a payment against my mortgage. The most I can pay off without penalty will be about £6k so I'll be doing that for the next 5 Years and then paying it off in full when the penalty period ends. I should be mortgage free at 41! (although my assets will probably be more than my mortgage at 38).

Further to ending the blog, I'm not sure that I was wise about some of the information I posted over the 40 weeks. As this site is still under the radar I don't think it will be a major problem but as we get a bigger membership and a bigger profile I may well delete the entire thread at some point in the future so any information you want to keep, copy it asap. For now though the thread stays

I understand that having a full time job and MBing at your rate must be pretty labour intensive. Although Mbing is an excellent and relatively easy way to make money, it does take time. I'm sure that most of us here spend as much time reading about MBing, arbing, trading, bonus bagging etc as we do actually placing bets. With a full time job and a family it can be quite difficult to juggle.

Being able to payoff your mortgage at 41 is some achievement especially when you consider how long you've been MBing, just over a year? I have used lot's of the info that you have given and being inspired by what you have done. I'll definitely be looking out for any ss tips in the future.

Most of us spend a lot of time looking for the holy grail, well I think to be honest this is probably it. :D Where else are you gonna get very low risk money for little input time required. Its fully legal and you don't need a degree, just an internet connection and some patience.

Well Done, just promise that you'll let us know when you get your yacht in Monte Carlo Bay!

Sharpey, as has often been said, you have been inspirational for many people who doubt matched betting as a concept - let alone the ability to make more than a few quid. Some people cant see beyond the end of their noses (none on here I hasten to add as FEM members are obviously the enlightened few :D )

If your decision to bring your thread to an end was made out of lacking the time, I would understand completely. I have to disagree with you however if you think it is in danger of becoming a "look at me, look how great I am" thread, I'm 100% sure no one thinks that. The thread perfectly illustrates how long you can successfully operate a match betting career and how much can be made, if you have the knowledge and the dedication. Your attitude of never turning down even a £1 freebie, combined with your experience and expertise (occasional underlaying and continued lay betting eg your recent golf betting post to reduce the commission payments at BF) are amazing to read.

No, match betting is never going to make anyone a millionaire. But who'd have thought you could pay off a mortgage  ? Many people start out with low expectations, perhaps a flat screen TV purchase or a holiday and would never never have believed what's possible without your proof.

I truly hope you have a change of heart and continue with this thread for as long as you match bet (hopefully for years to come). By all means edit, if you think some posts were unwise, but this thread could become truly legendary if you continued. You might even have to change the title from "the 2nd 10k and beyond" to "the next house and beyond"
Imagine re-reading it 5 years from now? You must be a little curious to see just what a legacy you could leave us with...?

Any thread with 5K plus views on this little old forum is some achievement and indicative that people are genuinely interested and amazed by what you're doing - not "oh look how much old big head, made this month".

As you have no doubt seen, BigJas has opened a poll on whether to keep the blog going. If the result is yes then I'll keep doing it. I've already explained the reasons I was going to stop but if no-one here feels that it is getting a bit like "look at how much I've made" then fair enough. That poll closes on the 16th of August and for continuity I'll continue to post until then.

Week 41

I can't wait for the new football season. I am finding it a slog to find decent matches as I can't do the racing at work any more. Managed to do a little on Goodwood this week using the overnight prices including busting out another Bet365. for the whole bonus + a little extra. That accounts for nearly half this weeks total. Anyone who follows other forums may have seen the huge problems regarding Smart Live Sports. I was one of those that didn't get a free bet and the argument rages. Luckily my qualifier lost and it was a no loss arb, but I'm still annoyed by it.

Week 42

Found a couple of new books this week with decent bonuses. These are reviewed in the members section. Also had a couple of fully underlaid arbs come in for a decent profit. With the football season back in full swing it should make it a bit easier going forward but as I'm sure you've all noticed the offers are going down in value and some are getting pulled all together.

SharpeShooter has very kindly replied to this post, but I have edited his response in the interests of:
keeping the forum busy (we dont have pm's as we dont need them because reading/posting here is very manageable),
allowing everyone to benefit from good questions and answers,
giving sharpey a break by enabling other people to answer questions where possible.

If anyone has any questions they would really prefer to email rather than post here, please address them either to freeeasymoney@hotmail.com or use the email link at the top of the front page. Thanks for your understanding.
