ISAbet disaster

Postby Alan » Tue Sep 01, 2009 7:34 pm

Cannot believe what is happening to me at Isabet.
I got a 50% reload, so deposited £100 and got my £50, so time to bust my £150 out me thinks.
Odds have been crap but ive manged to only lose smallish amounts each bet and was expecting to get around £35 profit back for my troubles.
First £100 busted out with no problems but then the shit hit the fan.

Placed my last £50 bet at 7, it wins
Placed a £15 bet at 7, it wins

So in my worldly betting wisdom i decided to bet with higher odds, which costs me more of my potentional profit because the odds were crap.

Placed a £35 bet at 16, it wins

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Since when does anyone let alone me have luck at the bookies like that. And to top it off ive no idea what the W/R is on the reloaded bonus.

Do you think i will forfeit the bonus if i ask how much i need to bet before i can cash out?

Hi Alan
Bad luck mate I'm afraid - stuck with poor odds and a wagethrough is not good. I think you'll probably just have to grit your teeth and get on with it with patience and a little luck you should break even. You could try underlaying at betfair if using low odds and you may cover the cost of the commission.....good luck.
You should be able to work out what you need to bet by checking the T&C's
on the website (e-mail if you have one) or by asking CS.

Just spoke to them and it seems things are not as bad as i first thought.
Ive only lost £14.53 up to now backing and laying and they told me i only have to bet through another £265, which is not bad at all considering.

Doing 188bet as well at moment. Busted £190 out so far with 3 bets in play.

£80 Stake, 6.60 odds
£85 Stake, 6.50 odds
£50 Stake, 7.00 odds

Ive got £29 left to bust out but you watch these bluming flipping little buggers win.

I dont know what it is but everytime i come to do a big bonus i always seem to win at big odds and end up having to do the W/R.
It really gets up my nose because the odds are never that great anyway so the profits are not maxed out, which gets even worse when you have to complete the W/R.

I guess im just unlucky at being lucky :?

High odds are good for busting out (if you can  ) but underlaying at these odds could be costly if you happen to win like you have,
Completing the WR is actually easier at lower odds where a small underlay compensates if you win at the bookie but is a small price to pay for busting out. The outsider in a tight footie game is one way of doing this.
Or underlay on the red hot favourite if the odds are ok

Sorry for the language folks, letting my betting woes get to me

What do you all mean by underlaying?

If you have a match say Arsenal are playing Darlington in the cup and it's highly likely for Arsenal to win. Back Arsenal the normal way at the bookie but
underlay (place less than you would normally to cover the lay) at betfair.
Obviously if it wins at the bookie your'e in profit - it can help when you have a wagethrough to do but is not risk free.
Please edit the expletives in your post when you have a minute - thanks.

I can suggest a few that I keep in reserve for those special occasions :D
