My Qualifying/Free Bet

Postby gordonbrown » Mon Apr 11, 2011 4:12 pm

Hi, firstly i am really glad i stumbled across this site. It's is very detailed and leaves little room for error. Soooo to make sure i haven't made an error, could someone comment on whether this was a good start.

Qualifying Bet £20 = BACK Inter Milan Win @ 2.63
£20 = LAY Inter Milan @ 2.68

Free Bet £40 = BACK Inter Milan Win @ 2.63
£24.98 = LAY Inter Milan @ 2.66

Hope this is correct,

Thanks

P.s Hope this is posted in the right area.

Hi there and welcome

If your free bet is a stake not returned bet then you would be better off choosing higher odds of 7 or more. So choose a correct score or half time/full time market perhaps but with close odds. This will maximise your profits.

Example
Back £40 @ 2.63 Lay 24.88 @ 2.66 = £23.73 profit
Back £40 @ 7 Lay £33.57 @ 7.2 = £33.57 profit

Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunatly i have already placed the bets i mentioned. I did understand that i needed higher odds on the free bet (it is stake not returned) but i struggled to cover the liability amount in betfair. I am a bit strapped for money so i couldn't afford to increase the account balance. obviously i am losing out because of this. what sort of figure should i be looking to have in the betfair account?

Look to do the smallest offers first and build your bankroll.

If you start with the £10/20 offers you only need £70/140 to lay off a higher odds SNR

Just another question.......

Is it 'safe' to withdraw your balance straight away if you win at the bookies?

Thanks + sorry if it's a stupid question
