Have i messed up or Been cheated.

Postby stuart30 » Thu Dec 04, 2008 10:54 pm

Apologises in advance but im furious...just not sure if i should be annoyed at myself or the bookie.

Ok well placed a bet at Gamebookers...Moscow to win @ 3.75 £25 stake.

I didnt want too be tied into there £25 free bet as you need too turn it over 6 times making £150 of bets.

As im sure you all know they instantly match your stake upon deposit...well as i wasnt going too bet through 6 times i simply placed a bet of £25.

Moscow win...account balance states £118.75....?

Moscow should have returned £25 x 3.75...which if im right is £93.75 of MY money.

Gamebookers now state that £50 is now restricted and i must wager another £125 before the £50 is released leaving me with an with drawable balance of £68.75..so in a nutshell there saying they placed the bet with the ""Free"" bet locking me into the 6 times turn over....However what would have happened if the bet had LOST...of course i would have an account balance of £0.00.

Ive emailed Gamebookers and explained the above and ive asked for the the full £98.75 too be credited too my account as free bet wasnt used.

I see theres a link you can click in the ""My account"" that says Forfeit bonus offer anyone know what this does...would this release my £25 original stake.

Many thanks for reading the above i hope it makes sense. :?

Don`t mean to sound harsh but some of you newbies need to pull your socks up.
If the bet had lost you would have a balance of £25 not zero.
If your account balance states £118.75 that is correct.
Bet returns of £93.75 plus the £25 bonus.

I think you should email Gamebookers and apologise for not reading their terms properly and sending them a nasty email. :x

Newbie yes...socks pulled up higher than the wife's fishnets yes..

However your actually wrong...just spoken too a nice man at Gamebookers and he agreed with me that as the bonus wasn't used it shouldn't have locked my money up.

Withdrawal of £93.75 has been made.. :)

I do agree us newbies need too double check everything and theres occasions we will ask mind numbingly stupid questions...however we was all new at some point so hope you can be patient until we find our feet. ;)

Nothing I stated here was wrong. Glad you have been able to withdraw anyway.

i agree with that.

why are you so worried about the wagering req. just put some more bets on say draws/ higher odds and sooner or later the money will be with betfair or betdaq.

i started on sat and are up about £236 without worrying about the wagering. i had a few unlucky??!! wins and the money ended up in the bookie but i just keep betting until it was back with betdaq so no worries with the wagering.

It is a bit strange lars how we can feel `unlucky` backing winners.

That`s just the way it is in this game.

Out of interest Stuart ,did Gamebookers ask you for any ID?

They asked for username name and email addy...seemed happy with that.

Oh and yes ive emailed them too ignore previous email and went on too say what a very helpfull rep he was.

Your right Lasse1 thats what i should have done in all fairness but last night was more of a dip a toe in and see what happends...trying too get it right and fully understand what too do before hitting all the bookies properly with someone elses details and card (permission granted ofcourse).

Resonably steep learning curve and lots more too get my head round yet.

hi stuart,

just take it easy, start with the small ones, and you will be ok, but if you make some mistakes they are not costly.

i have done a mix, and are doing ok.
