Did you go for the full £500 SS? Any advice on the best approach.

I received the same offer but I have been bitten in the past on one of my accounts, it was some kind of bet basket, like a £25 bet then a £50 then a £75 or something along those lines, I lost on the first bet then won on the second on my lovely £75 bet I was limited to £1 but managed to find some leagues where I could bet £10. I contacted CS and asked then how they could justify making such offers and then not following them through, their reply was that it is a management decision and will not be dicussed further.
My bets were not on obscure leagues and I'm pretty sure they hadn't linked my accounts.

I've been really tempted to do this offer but I'm too scared, maybe I could put a £100 on and see how I go ;)

I went for the full £500. It was an account I had only ever placed one bet on previous to this offer.

I placed my initial £1500 1.8/1.79 and the re-deposited, my intention being to complete the wr by lumping another £1k on the same bet, therefore not getting limited during wr.

Having placed my £1500 bet I was limited to less than £10 on ALL football including major European leagues. However I could still get £300 on horses, until I hit a couple of winners (both underlaid). Then I was limited to Peanuts on Horses too. Finished wr using Rugby League, Union & cricket. There are tons of Arbs at SB if you look for them.

Advice for anyone going into this is, find a decent match between 2.5 - 3.0 place your entire balance on it and under lay. Settle for half of your bonus as profit if it loses. If it wins you should have a lot more profit and you can then withdraw and fore go the bonus (so I've read) IF you get limited

Interesting, cheers for that, A big underlay sounds like the best option even if it means you only get half the bonus money.

It's a nice offer, if it were ladbrokes I'd be jumping in head first but I don't trust SB one bit.

Totally agree with SharpeShooter on this one except to say that I think it's definitely worth doing ( I didn't get the offer unfortunately  )

Edit:
Sorry Shooter, I misread your first reply and thought you were saying it's too good to be true. Realise now you were answering the £100 SR question

Deposit the full 1k but then underlay so you only make £250 from it if you win at betfair. I'd then also withdraw and forego bonus if limited but if there were plenty of arbs about as SS says then you may make closer to £300 (at a guess) by completing the WR :D

I actually made £510 from this offer :D so deffo worth doing

If you underlay your first bet (which I didn't, Hindsight eh) you could walk away with upwards of £700, if you can complete the wr

SS how long did it take you to get through the WR ?. Also because you mixed your bets on different markets, did you have to bet £5000 ?. What if i deposited £2000 in one go, waited till i got the bonus, would they let me put the whole balance £2500, on a football match, thus completing the WR, then if i do win, i can withdraw ? Otherwise i could end up with all my BF float tied up in sportingbet. :o

I deposited £1000 for £500. I wasn't sure they would accept the first bet so I placed that and then redeposited the other £1000. This was when I discovered they had limited me. I placed the 1st bet on a Saturday for a Tuesday night game and wagered another £2k between. As my first bet (The one with the bonus funds) lost that automatically cleared the wr anyway.

I've read reports elsewhere of people being able to withdraw straight after 5 x wr regardless of which sport, and others who underlaid and won, then withdrew giving back the bonus.

All in all you should make money so long as you can get your first bet on

I got the offer on an account I haven't used a lot, but found I was limited to around £100. I got round this by putting on all my bets before the first one had settled.
25-30 x £100 bets with half decent matching prices is possible with a weekend like this where you have Europa League on Thurs, Premier League on Sat-Mon and Spain, Italy & Germany on Sunday. I made about about £375 out of the £500. Which I thought was pretty good considering I was matching off days before the event, so couldn't take advantage of matching just before the off.
I realise you need a decent size bankroll to do this but you can scale it to the size of your bankroll. e.g. Deposit £200 for £100 bonus, then deposit another £200, then place 5 x £100 bets on European football to complete the wagering requirement.
