Just while we’re on the topic of free bets I’ve found that Ladbrokes casino is an excellent source of unearned income. Like all these things it relies on you being disciplined and gambling no more than is necessary to get the free offer, so if you’r not then forget it. Anyway, here’s how it works.
Every couple of months they send an Email offering 35 quid of chips if you deposit 35 quid yourself and place bets to the value of at least 70 quid. You then have to gamble the free chips before you can withdraw them. Sounds quite risky I hear you say, but….
Play Blackjack. Use basic strategy. Using £1 a stake you’ll need to play 70 hands (less if you double at all). Remove leftover money and Email to claim free £35. When this is deposited play 35 more hands (20 minutes work in total) and withdraw remaining money.
“BUT, but, but,” I hear you cry - “isn’t this risky? What if you lose lots of hands and your original stake shrinks to almost zero and the same happens with your free stake. You’ll lose out!”
As you may or may not know using basic strategy the casino has only a tiny edge in Blackjack - about 1%. If you played 100 hands at £1 then on average you’d get £99 back out of your hundred quid staked. Here we need to play 105 hands so we expect a return of £104 - i.e. to lose £1 on average. So the most likely outcome is the return of £34 of your £35 stake and all £35 of the £35 free bet - which gives you £34 profit.
The chances of you actually losing money if you play in this way are less than the chances of winning the lottery. The reason we used the small stake is that the greater number of repetitions ensures a greater chance of ending up closer to the average. The total return is therefore £35 in 20 minutes equalling over £100/hour. I don’t know what rate you’re paid at but this is looking good to me….
